Devils in Depth: Spring Break

I’ll be working over break at Target, and that’s about it. I love working there because it’s family-oriented and everybody knows each other. We’re all super-connected, and I just really like my coworkers! I’m a team captain of our e-commerce fulfilment team. It’s not the worst way to spend break!

I’ll definitely be working out over break, too. I go to the gym pretty frequently, about every single day. So I don’t think that’ll stop over break. I’ll be working hard at my job and at the gym. It never stops. And when I’m not at the gym or work, I’ll probably hang out with my friends. We usually go to coffee shops, hiking and lots of other active things which I’m sure we’ll plan out.

I’ll also be studying a bit. I have five classes but there’s not really a midterm I’m particularly nervous about, so that’s good. I really like business data mining because it’s the programs and applications we use. I just really like the math behind it. I’m motivated to do well on them because I love the major and I want to succeed. So, yeah, it’s a busy break, but it should be fun.

I’m going to Hawaii for break because my brother is getting married! I’ll be there the entire break which I’m super psyched about. I’m just so excited to explore the island. Aside from the wedding, I’ll mostly be doing typical tourist things like scuba diving and going to the beach as much as possible.

I’ll work out every day down there. It’ll be cool to adapt my workout to that environment, like jogging on the beach would be super cool. I do lifting, more heavy-style training. I actually go to the SDFC around five days out of the week! Break won’t stop that grind — it motivates me more because it’s just that season and that time of year to get into action.

I hope to do well on my classes before break. That’s my motivation. My classes are all about to be done, so I’ll be chilling over break, but right now it’s a lot. As an English major, I never usually have exams, but I always have papers. We write about any broad general subject within the field of English and that’s what captures my attention.

I’m going to Rocky Point with my friends on the second weekend. I’m super excited to go spend time there and really just go have some fun. We’re definitely going to hang by the pool and see what the place has to offer. I also want to go to the beach and spend a lot of time down there.

I want to start working out before spring break because I want to be ready, but I’m a Devils in depth little behind. I’m motivated, but it’s hard. I really am trying to work out once a week. I love using the stair stepper — it hurts, but it’s worth it.

The only thing getting me through midterms is the thought of Mexico! I have a lot of Session B classes so I’m not too stressed right now, but I still want to do well before break. I do have a test right after break though, but I’m studying for it now. It’s chem, so it’ll be rough but worth it.

I’m going to Rocky Point! I’m super excited to just take a chance and go across the border. You know, see if we make it and make some fun memories. I don’t know, I’m excited to see how it turns out.

I’ve definitely been cutting down eating a little bit, not only to look better, but to feel better. I’m also going to be running a couple miles before, just to keep my fitness level up. But I won’t be working out during. Instagram motivates me to look better for Devils in pictures.

I have two midterms coming up this week, so I’ve been studying like crazy for those. I just want to finish them and be done! I’m a nutrition minor, so I have a medical nutrition class midterm and I have a midterm in my human pathophysiology class. So, it’s been tough but it’ll be worth it to just unwind from it all in Mexico.
