In times of stress, remember we are here for each other.

ASU is a Community of Care.

This requires that everyone take fundamental responsibility for the well-being of all others. Under times of increasing local, national and global stress, this becomes increasingly important and increasingly difficult. Significant public events such as violent crime and natural disasters directly challenge our ability to cope and care for each other. Simultaneously, significant private events such as emotional health concerns or friends/family crises have a major and often hidden daily impact as well.

In the face of these challenges, all of us at ASU recommit on a daily basis to:

  • Deeply care about the wellbeing of our fellow students, faculty and staff.
  • Recognize that we individually can make the biggest difference through a direct expression of care, empathy, and support. For most people who are struggling, this is all they need.
  • We prepare ourselves to connect people in need to resources and services

In times of great individual and community stress, many people feel alone. We must remind each other that we are here for each other and that our ASU family cares.
