It’s 1:20 p.m. You just got out of your 11:30 class. You’ve got a couple hours before your next class, and your stomach begins to growl because that slice of bread you had breakfast maybe wasn’t good enough. So what do you do? Do you hop in your car and make your way to the nearest Whataburger? Jump on light rail and take it to a Chipotle? (Confession: this is sometimes a solution to my hunger.) Or did you plan ahead and pack yourself a healthy snack for this exact situation?

“Devils in Depth” is a project that gets down to earth and captures the diversity of Arizona State’s student population. We engage in conversations with students in an effort to learn more about their passions and get a feel for who they really are. Then we ask them their thoughts on a central theme. This week we sat down with our seniors to ask them about their time at the SDFC and what they’ll do following graduation.

 

Life is stressful—especially during a pandemic. It’s important to keep in mind that you are not alone. Following these tips will help you lower your stress level so that you can live well!

Hummus is a healthy, delicious dip that is packed full of protein and complex carbs. With some vegetables or pita chips on the side, it makes for a good post workout snack or a healthy quick lunch. This recipe for hummus, courtesy of Inspired Taste, is easy and made in 10 minutes. Have you ever gone to the gym and wondered, “What body part am I going to work today?”

Well, you’re definitely not the only one! Getting to the gym is the easy part — but figuring out what to do when you get there can be a lot more complicated. There are several ways you can train your body in the weight room throughout the week, and these are called “splits.”

What’s the best split for you? The two most common types are push, pull, legs (PPL) and upper, lower (UL).

 

It’s a new semester and a new year, and with it a new chance to do well in our academics! It’s January and you can feel it in the crisp winter air. It’s the time of year to return back to campus and re-engage in our academic goals. Unfortunately, COVID-19 is as prevalent as ever, especially with the new Omicron variant. ASU is taking it seriously and has implemented some policy changes to help keep us all safe and healthy.
