Spooky season is upon us, and Halloween is almost here! That means the Halloween Carnival at the SDFC is just around the corner on Friday, October 29th! With this season comes many myths and stories about Halloween, but just how many are actually true? We take a look at the most common misconceptions about Halloween and shed some light on them.

Tainted candy

Kathleen Harrison is a junior at the Polytechnic campus going for their Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry with a certificate in Sustainable Food Systems.  In addition to attending classes, Kathleen also works as a mortician.

Kathleen was seeking full-time employment after their departure from the military when they stumbled across a position as a removal technician for National Funeral Home in Falls Church, Virginia.  Essentially, removal technicians are “those who retrieve deceased people.” 

Fox’s comedy-horror series Scream Queens was cancelled in 2016 after just two seasons.  Although its hospital-set second season suffered a noticeable decline in quality, the first season can stand on its own.  The series was created by Ryan Murphy and starred Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis.
