Julio’s Gym Bangers 2

What’s going on, Sun Devils? Your boy Julio is back with some more Gym Bangers. Lately I’ve been going out for runs, and I wanted to share some songs I’ve been bumping. Check out these hot tracks, and if you like them maybe you can add them to your own playlist. Enjoy!

“CUDDLE MY WRIST” – FUTURE

Beastmode

I don’t know how you guys feel about Future, but I love his music. I’ve rocked with Future since his album “Dirty Sprite 2” in 2015 and he has never let me down. His newest album is called “Beast Mode 2” and let me tell ya, he does indeed go “beast mode” on this album.

No Time – Playboi Carti

Die Lit

I need to listen to “Die Lit” a little more before I can determine whether I like it better than Playboi Carti’s self-titled album, but this song is a super banger. In this track, Carti is just saying he doesn’t have time for negativity. He’s got stuff to do and moves to make. He literally says, “I drop my demons out, clear my mind.”

Some people like to workout to clear their minds or better themselves, so bump this next time you working out or going for a run. Stay out your feelings and get into your bag. There’s no time for you to feel down, you got moves to make.

“Praise The Lord (Da Shine)” – A$AP Rocky feat. Skepta

ASAP Rocky testing

If you haven’t listened to A$AP Rocky’s new joint, I highly recommend it. He really outdid himself on this one. As for this song, it’s a Julio-certified banger. The song was produced by English rapper Skepta and this beat and his hook goes hard. This song gets me pumped and it’s super catchy.

"Freddie Freeloader” – Miles Davis

Freddie Freeloader

To quote the famous Dreamworks film “Bee Movie,” “Ya like Jazz?”

If not, I still recommend this song to you, in addition to more of Miles Davis’ work. I just started to check out jazz and I really like this song. I listen to it when I go for a walk or jog. The track is a little long, but it’s so smooth and my mind just drifts off. I like to keep my mind occupied while running so I’m not thinking about the agonizing pain in my chest and my legs being on fire. This track is a good option.

“Having a Blast” – Green Day

Green Day

To make this list even weirder, I thought I’d throw in one of my favorite Green Day tracks. When I work out or run, it’s typically to blow off steam or clear my mind form whatever it is that ails me. This song fits the mood. Billie Joe Armstrong is a genius and this song pertains to those feelings of not being able to live the way you want and how if you keep things inside they eventually will blow up.

The best part for me in this song is when Armstrong asks listeners, “Do you ever think back to another time? Does it bring you so down that you thought you lost your mind? Do you ever want to lead a long trail of destruction.” The guitar in this part is so good and it gives me chills every time.
