First, know that you’re not alone, as 60 million Americans — lots of them students like us — admit to having experienced insomnia. But second, know that there are other ways to fall asleep faster without turning to medication.

College students today are having trouble eating healthy due to a lack of time and funds.

Oregon State University published a study in 2011, which revealed that college students are not consuming the recommended amount of fruits or vegetables.

President of the Student Nutrition Council on campus, Anateresa De Leon was able to speak on what barriers students face when trying to eat healthy.

“A lot of it is money and also we’re college students so, our priorities aren’t always great. A lot of times we want short term satisfaction versus long term.” De Leon said.

The new year is here, and many of us seek to improve ourselves with hopes and goals for the coming year. Vinyasa is a popular style of yoga that focuses on dynamic, flowing sequences of poses. This Vinyasa class, taught by Hannah Rose, is great for beginners and experienced yogis, as you can tailor the moves to your preferred level of difficulty. 

The workshop has a heavy emphasis on balancing poses, core strengthening, and inversions. Mindfulness is also explored during the session, and you get the chance to be meditative as you execute your poses.
