We’re pushing through the Spring semester, and with that comes exams, papers, and other assignments. For some of us, this can be a stressful time with feelings of anxiety and burnout, so now is a good opportunity to check in with your mental health and evaluate how you’re doing. If you find that you are struggling, there are resources available to Sun Devils to help us out and get us back on the path to success. Below are five questions to ask yourself to assess how your mental health is doing and some tips to help bring balance.

If you’re on the hunt for things to do for Family Weekend (November 5-7), gather your loved ones and head on down to the Sun Devil Stadium for an ASU football game! This year, the game will be on Saturday, November 6th against our rival, the University of Southern California. Kathleen Harrison is a junior at the Polytechnic campus going for their Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry with a certificate in Sustainable Food Systems.  In addition to attending classes, Kathleen also works as a mortician.

Kathleen was seeking full-time employment after their departure from the military when they stumbled across a position as a removal technician for National Funeral Home in Falls Church, Virginia.  Essentially, removal technicians are “those who retrieve deceased people.” 

Meet rising junior Renuka Vemuri, the newly elected president of the Undergraduate Student Government Downtown (USGD) and driven ASU student. As a Medical Studies major (she’s also pursuing a minor in Nutrition & Healthy Living), Renuka is following her dream in pursuing a career in healthcare.

Amanda Mae Dielman has overcome the incredible challenge of moving across the country and starting college in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in order to pursue her passion for interior design and make Arizona her new home.
